WindowsXP Dialup Setup Instructions
The following instructions are for those who DO NOT have our software. These pages will explain how to connect to ISOT using Dial-Up Networking in Windows XP if you wish to configure the connection manually.

The assumptions that we make are as follows:

  • You are working in Window XP
  • You did not obtain our automated ISOT Configuration software
  • You have installed 'Dial-Up Networking' from your installation diskettes or CD (usually is, by default)
  • You have a working modem installed on your computer
  • You have an active account with ISOT and know your login ID and password

Step1: Click on the start button and select All Programs, Accessories, Communications, and then click on New Connection Wizard.

Step2: Under Location Information, type in 254 for the area code, and click OK button

Step3: Click Ok button

Step4: This starts the New Connection Wizard. Click the Next button

Step5: Make sure Connect to the Internet is selected, then click on the Next button.

Setp6: Click on Set up my connection manually then click the Next button.

Step7: Make sure Connect using a dialup modem is selected, then click on the Next button.

Step8: Type in ISOT for your ISP Name then click Next

Step9: Under Phone number to dial, type in 220-4004 for Killeen area. If you are in Temple/Belton area use 231-4027. Then click Next

Step10: Under Internet Account Information, in lower case type in your login name and password. These are the one's that you chose when you sign up for your ISOT account and they are listed on your ISOT invoce.

Step11: Under Completing the new Connection Wizard, Check the box next to Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop. Then click Finish.

Step12: You are ready to connect to internet. You should now have an icon on your desktop that says ISOT. To connect, double-click on it.
