How to Setup Proxy on Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6
Why uses Proxy Server?
  • Our proxy server helps to increase web browsing speed. The proxy server automatically stores (caches) the contents of sites which have been accessed before.

When you access a site which has been previously accessed (and therefore stored on the proxy server), the server will download the contents immediately from its cache without having to access the original site again.

The assumptions that we make are as follows:

  • You are working with Internet Explorer5.5 or 6.0
  • You have a working modem installed on your computer
  • You have an active account with ISOT and know your login ID and password

1. Open Internet Explorer and go to the Tools -> Internet Options Menu

2. Click on the Connections Tab

3.  Select the Dialup Connection that they are using to connect to the internet, then click the Settings button.

4. On the PPP Settings window, place a check mark on the box labeled "Proxy Server", then on the Address line fill in proxy.isot.com and on the Port line 3128. Click Ok when Finished.

5. Click OK again and close the browser
