How to setup internet connection on Mac OS X. 10.1
The following instructions will help you set up your Macintosh computer to connect to the Internet using ISOT Internet Services. It is assumed that your Mac already has the necessary Open Transport networking software installed.
1. To begin the first time setup process, click the "System Preferences" icon on the Dock bar at the bottom of your computer screen as displayed below.
2. Now the "System Preferences" control panel should be displayed on your screen. Click the "Network" icon (see below).

3. Begin filling in the necessary configuration information in the window that appears. "Automatic" should be selected from the "Location" menu at the top of the window. Ensure that "Internal Modem" is listed in the "Show" area. Also, be sure that the "Configure" is set to "Using PPP". If these items are not selected, simply click the arrows to the right of the menus and select the items as outlined above. Next, fill in the "Domain Name Servers" area with ISOT's DNS numbers as specified below. Now, click "Apply Now".

4. Proceed by clicking the "PPP" tab at the top of the window. You may enter "ISOT" as the "Service Provider" name. In the blank labeled “Telephone Number,” type the telephone number your computer should dial to connect to the Internet. Click here to get dialup phone number in your area.  Type numbers only. Do not type a hyphen or dash after the first three digits. Refer to the configuration information section of your application to determine the appropriate telephone number for your area. It is extremely important that you choose the correct number in order to avoid long-distance telephone charges. If you need help determining the correct telephone number for your area, please do not hesitate to contact ISOT for assistance. In the blank labeled “Account Name,” type your username you chose on your ISOT application. Make sure you type the username in all lowercase letters. Then, in the blank labeled “Password,” type the password assigned to you by ISOT. This can also be found on your copy of your invoice. Unlike the username, the password may be a combination of uppercase and lowercase characters. Make sure you type it exactly the way it appears on your application. It will show up as dots in the password field, so you must type it very carefully to be sure that it is typed correctly. Then make sure there is an “X” or check in the box labeled “Save password.” Then click the "PPP Options" button. Proceed to step 5.

5. Now, configure your window to appear exactly as displayed below. Then click "OK". Then, click Apply Now.

6. Next, click the "Show All" button in the upper-left hand corner of the window. A window will prompt you to save the configuration changes. Click "Save". Proceed to step 7.
7. You should now be back to the "System Preferences" window. Now click the "Internet" icon.
8. Now, click the "Email" tab. In the window that now appears make sure that "Mail" is selected from the drop down menu at the top of the window. If "Mail" is not selected, click the double sided arrow to the right and click on "Mail" to select it. Now, enter your e-mail address in the designated line, as shown below. (Your e-mail address is based on your username followed by "@isot.com" and it can be found on your copy of your application.) Next, enter "isot.com" in the "Incoming Mail Server" field. Be sure to use all lowercase letters. Then, type your username and password in the designated lines. Finally, enter "isot.com" for the "Outgoing Mail Server" field. Again, be sure to use all lowercase letters.

9. Congratulations! To complete the first-time setup process click the "x" in the upper-left hand corner as displayed below. To access the Internet simply click on the Internet Explorer icon on the Dock Bar.
