Ok.. But I am just really new to this so called `HTML' and don't know about web hosting.. What should I do

HTML is not for people that is new to the Internet.  Some will grasp the concept faster then the others, while some will never learn by themselves.  It takes unique personality to pickup things quickly, and of course, it will take a lot of patience and reading.  At ISOT, we believe in the value of self learning.  How good you will be in any aspect of your life depend heavily on your talent, and time you are willing (and able) to spent on your area of interest.

Page Hosting Page Via FTP:

  1. You may upload your html content directly to your page.  For example, you have registered and parked you domain with ISOT, and your domain name is your_domain.com, all you need to do is open an ftp client and connect to ftp.your_domain.com and enter your assigned user_name and password.  For most members with personal web page, point your ftp client to connect to members.isot.com to access your HTML files.  You are now in your root directory of web page.  This place is where your index.html (Your Main Page) file should be placed.  This file must be created in order for your domain to show up, and allow you to link your main page to any other pages who you wish to create.
  2. To obtain an ftp client, click here to download a FTP client directly from ISOT, or visit TuCows FTP client download page
  3. Here is how to use CuteFTP to login and start file transfer session with your virtual hosting account.

Page Hosting Using Internet Explorer?or Netscape?Communicator:

  1. Assume we give you a login name, called user_name
  2. Assume we give your a password, called password
  3. Assume you registered your domain, called your_domain.com
(For Normal users, this would be members.isot.com.)
  4. Your Address to access your ftp would be, ftp://user_name:password@ftp.your_domain.com
  5. You can then drag and drop the file you created offline, either by using a wordpad or any other web/HTML/Text editors directly into this screen below.

Example is illustrated below:
